Giles’ roommate and co-owner of Neighbors, Connie Frischenmeyer-Schrader confirmed the news in a post to her personal Facebook on Saturday. In the post, Frischenmeyer-Schrader asked for anybody with any information on the shooting to call the police.
The Wichita Eagle reported that Frischenmeyer-Schrader was laying in her bed during the attack. She heard what she believed to be tapping on the window. Frischenmeyer-Schrader initially believed the noise was Giles tapping at the window to come inside. She later learned the tapping was gunshots.
Currently, there is no information about Giles’ murderer[s]. It was reported he went to work at Neighbors at 6:00 am. Giles returned home from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm for a break before going back to work the dinner rush until 9:00 pm. Once off work, Giles stopped at a Dillons grocery store before going to his home. It is still unclear what exactly happened after Giles arrived at his house. The driver’s side of the windshield was shot out, but Giles was on the ground. Frischenmeyer-Schrader said she was not sure how Giles was outside of the vehicle on the driveway, but he had been robbed.
The man would have given the shirt off his back if they’d asked for it. They didn’t have to do what they did.Connie Frischenmeyer-Schrader Via The Wichita Eagle
