Haylee Horton Hears Some Food
Since going viral, Horton has started the Facebook page “Haylee Horton hears some food.” The page already has grown an impressive audience of over 30,000 people. One of the first posts to the page reads, “Hey y’all!!! I will be posting recipes for you guys that are affordable, easy and delish! I mean I am cooking anyway, I might as well share! Love y’all!”
Discuss spoke to Horton who said she had absolutely had no clue her recipe was going to go viral. At first Horton found the idea of her recipe going viral hilarious, but quickly realized that she should take it seriously. “I am buckling down and getting a schedule ready because I know consistency is key,” Horton said. She has spent the last few days getting some tips from friends who are content creators. Horton says she has also met several people in an amazing community that is helping her get her new page up and running.
Haylee Horton’s Viral Pasta Recipe
Lets take a second to break down Horton’s super simple viral recipe. Horton’s recipe calls for one pound of penne pasta, one 16 ounce jar of Alfredo sauce, one 16 ounce jar of spaghetti sauce and one bag of mozzarella. While Horton did not include any meat, she did say she would prefer “smoked sausage, fried of course.”
Step 1: Cook These Noods
Horton made this process incredibly easy to follow. Step one consists of cooking your penne pasta, which I would imagine you could switch out for another pasta should you desire. The world is your oyster.
Step 2: Dump These Fools
Step two dump your two sauces on your cooked noodles. Don’t try and over-complicate things, just dump them in on your cooked pasta.
Step 3: Mix It All Together
I tried to tell you how easy she made this for us. Step three consists of mixing the sauces and the noodles together.
Step 4: Put In A Baking Dish Y’all
Keeping with the theme of a simple dinner, step four consists of putting it in a baking dish. You are one step closer to finishing this masterpiece.
Step 5: Put Some Cheese On It
Step five is quite possibly the most important part of the entire recipe. Add your cheese!
Step 6: Bake For About 10-15
You are almost there! Step six, preheat your oven to 375 and throw your delicious creation in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 7: Heck Yes Texas
That’s it! You did it! You just created a meal that can feed a group of hungry people for around $7.00. Obviously you should let it cool before you dig in, which the wait may be the hardest part!
