Actress Mollie Fitzgerald, 38,—who played a small role in “Captain America: The First Avenger”—is accused of stabbing her mother to death inside a suburban Kansas City home on Tuesday.
Mollie Fitzgerald Charged With Second-Degree Murder
Police in Olathe, Kansas charged Fitzgerald with second-degree murder for the death of her mother, 68-year-old Patricia “Tee” Fitzgerald. According to police, Patricia was found dead in her home in Olathe on December 20. Fitzgerald is currently booked in the Johnson County Jail with a $500,000 bond.
An Armed Disturbance
Police say they responded to an armed disturbance call on the day Patricia was found dead. Once arriving at the home, Patricia was found dead from an apparent stab wound. Fitzgerald was contacted on the scene and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
There are currently few details released in regards to Patricia’s murder. According to IMDB, Fitzgerald had somewhat of a career as an actress, director, and producer. Currently, her small role in Captain America helped make the actress a trending topic on Google.
In Captain America, Fitzgerald played the role of “Stark Girl” and worked as an assistant to the film’s director Joe Johnson. In total, Fitzgerald only received around 30 seconds of screentime during a scene where a hovercar is revealed to a crowd only to fail during the demonstration.

Patricia was reported to be moving back to the Kansas City area after living in Houston for the last few years according to her brother, Gary Hunziker. After growing up in northeast Missouri, Patricia studied physical therapy at the University of Missouri before moving to Kansas City. Patricia moved to Texas where her husband had a law firm.
According to everhere, Patricia’s funeral is on Friday. She is survived by her parents, Maxine Hunziker and Harlon Hunziker, her husband Terry Fitzgerald, and her siblings, Gary Hunziker, Terry L Hunziker, and Nancy Ward.
