• Eric Trump claims on Tuesday night a waitress from upscale Chicago bar The Aviary spit on him
  • Chicago Police Department responded to the scene and assisted the Secret Service
  • A Go Fund Me campaign created on Wednesday has already raised almost $4,000 out of a $5,000 goal

Eric Trump claims a waitress at the Chicago bar The Aviary spit on him Tuesday night. The identity of the waitress remains unknown but a Go Fund Me by someone claiming to be one of her friends has already raised over $3,000 of a $5,000 goal.

What Happened

In an interview with Breitbart News via phone on Tuesday night, Trump said: “It was purely a disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems.” Instead of placing blame on The Aviary, Trump cast the majority of the blame on the Democratic Party.

Eric Trump to Breitbart News

NBC 5 reported at around 8:30 pm, Trump was a patron of The Aviary. It was around that time that a waitress approached him then spit on him. Chicago police responded to the scene. Anthony Guglielmi — spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department — tweeted out the department were assisting “United States Secret Service with a law enforcement matter.”

Since news of the incident went public The Aviary claims hundreds are now calling for the bar’s “demise.” Other employees are said to have received threats and online people have been leaving fake reviews of the establishment. “Last night an unfortunate incident occurred between an employee at The Aviary and Eric Trump,” The Aviary said in a statement. The statement went on to say they did not witness the incident and had not yet spoken to the waitress, but the bar’s HR department placed her on leave.

So too, however, are those people wrong who are praising this as an act of civil disobedience. We have voices and the means to be heard. A degrading act lowers the tenor of debate. To some it might feel good, but it is unlikely to serve any larger purpose.

We hope this incident can, at least, serve to illuminate the current absurdity of the discourse in our politics. As fellow Americans and citizens, we should all aim higher.

My Friend Got Fired For Spitting On A Trump

According to a campaign on Go Fund Me titled “My friend got fired for spitting on a Trump,” the waitress did end up losing her job, which is not surprising considering the backlash the bar is facing. “That’s what happens when we bring the crises from our neighborhoods to the people causing/getting rich off those crises,” the campaign description reads. The description also states the waitress is remaining anonymous for the time being.

My friend allegedly spat on Eric Trump and got fired. That’s what happens when we bring the crises from our neighborhoods to the people causing/getting rich off those crises.

I want to make sure she’s good to go until she finds a new job, and that she won’t have to worry about paying any legal fees etc.

Throwdown to support this young badass who wasn’t going to let some jagoff bully get away with his nonsense.

We’re trying to keep her anonymous for now, to keep her and her family safe, so you’re not going to find her name here. This stuff might all blow up or her name might get leaked or whatever, so this page might disappear. Stay tuned on other social media to keep tabs on what’s happening.

Via Go Fund Me

So far the Go Fund Me campaign has raised almost $4,000 of a $5,000 goal in the short amount of time it has been online. The campaign has currently been shared over 8,000 times and is already trending on the crowdfunding site. There is no confirmation the person behind the campaign actually knows the waitress, but currently, that is not stopping people from making a donation.
